About These Terms

These terms apply when you use this website and when you ask for or make a booking with Karoo Stille Guest House. By using the site you accept them. Nothing in them takes away any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or any other South African law.

Booking Requests

A booking request sent through this site, by WhatsApp or by email is a request, not a confirmed booking. Your booking is confirmed only when we confirm it to you in writing.

Any total shown on the site is an estimate. The rate, extras and total in your confirmation are the ones that apply.

Deposits and Payment

If we ask for a deposit, the amount and the date it is due are in your booking confirmation. The booking is secured once the deposit reaches us. The balance is due as your confirmation says, and otherwise on arrival.

Cancellations and Changes

The cancellation terms in your booking confirmation apply. Where it says nothing, you may cancel an advance booking and we may keep a reasonable cancellation fee, as section 17 of the Consumer Protection Act allows. No fee applies if you cannot come because of your own or a close family member's death or admission to hospital.

If we ever have to cancel, we refund what you paid in full.

House Rules

These are part of every stay:

• Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 10:00.
• Two nights minimum over weekends and school holidays.
• Rates per room per night, breakfast included.

Information on This Site

We keep the information on this site as accurate and current as we can, but mistakes happen and details such as prices, hours and availability change. Please check anything important with us before you rely on it.

Our Responsibility

We are responsible for what we do or fail to do, as the law says. We are not responsible for loss caused by events outside our control, or by sites and services we link to, such as Google Maps and WhatsApp. Nothing here limits a right the Consumer Protection Act gives you.

The words, photos and design on this site belong to Karoo Stille Guest House or are used with permission. Please ask before you copy them.

Your Privacy

How we use personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

The Law That Applies

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. If we disagree about something, please talk to us first; most things are sorted out quickly that way.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page on the day you book or order is the one that applies to you.
